Energy efficiency plan for Madrid Metro

Supply and installation contract, awarded to the joint venture imesAPI -Vimac, to replace a total of 56,000 traditional fluorescent lamps with their electronic equipment, by others based on LED technology with external driver and Zigbee wireless regulation system. With this change, energy savings of 69.34% have been achieved, corresponding to 50,000 kWh / day, 19 million kWh per year, equivalent to what 5,800 households in Madrid consume in a year.

The client, Metro de Madrid, was so pleased that it has trusted imesAPI again, this time alone, for the supply and installation of another 60 stations and four warehouses (2nd phase), with a total of 56,000 fluorescent lamps and 1,500 industrial lamps.
