Description of the Project
The project consists of the revamping and improvement in the design of auxiliary equipment and systems linked to the HVAC of a building where the painting process of truck cabins is carried out, within the Madrid factory of an automotive multinational. The surface and volume to be conditioned is 6,700 m2 and 38,000 m3 respectively.
A total of five rooftop air handling units (UTA) are installed for the diverse areas of the building, taking into account the specific air renewal needs of each one (e.g. 30 m3 / h in paint mixing rooms).
The set of actions, i.e. the new HVAC units, their centralized management system, the replacement of the entire network of both overheated water pipes (760 m), and the air ducts for diffusion (3,000 m) and the insulation of all of them result in energy savings of more than 34%, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of 300 t / year.
